38 bilge pump wiring diagram with float switch
Hello, I have a Rule bilge pump with a auto float switch (as well as a manual switch at the helm). I have a two battery system with a BEP battery switch with 1, 2, 1+2, and Off settings. The 2nd battery and battery switch are new additions this spring. My desire would be to leave the battery switch in the Off position when I leave the boat at the slip, and have the bilge pump hard-wired to a battery so it can kick on if it fills up when I am away. Problem is, when the switch is Off, the fl... I'm replacing a standard light switch with a smart one. The wiring diagram confuses me. Neutral goes to N, and to the plant which is presumably earth, and to L1? I'm completely flummoxed. I'd have thought Neutral to N, permanent live L, switched live L1, earth to? Anywhere?
